The Case of the Murder Victim's Cat

I wonder if I have all my tags up to date. I was sure I did a post about the animals in episodes, and specifically the cats, but no such posts come up when I search the tags.

I was watching The Case of the Silent Partner last night and it occurred to me to wonder what became of the murder victim's cat. It's so sad to me in shows when the victim is shown to have an animal. What happens to them? This is rarely, if ever, addressed. The animals are put there, I suppose, to show that the victims weren't all bad. But showing a cute animal and then not giving it a happy ending is extremely unsatisfying to animal lovers.

I did, however, come up with an idea in this case and I am determined that it is definitely what happened! I decided that Lieutenant Tragg adopted the cat. We all know he's a big softie. He might be a little gruff at first, but if the cat had nowhere to go, he might very well decide to take it home instead of sending it to the pound. And then it would stay on. He might try to say it's more his wife's cat, but everyone would know he would love it too. And the cat would no doubt love him.

I may have to write a short story on this.

Did anyone try the HBO Perry mini-series? I mostly heard negative things about it, such as how it featured very harsh swearing and that Perry seemed out of character. I also heard, however, that there was some improvement by the end of the series and that it started to feel more like the books. It wasn't enough to make me want to try it. Give me classic Perry any day.

Now to solve the mystery of why my posts are posting weird.
